Alfredo Mahar Francisco Lagmay, Ph.D. is a Filipino geologist known for Project NOAH or the Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards launched by the Department of Science and Technology. He is also the executive director of Project NOAH and currently professor at the National Institute of Geological Sciences of the University of the Philippines Diliman. == Education and career == Lagmay finished his bachelor's degree in geology from the University of the Philippines Diliman in 1987, master of science degree in geology also from UP, and doctor of philosophy in geology from the University of Cambridge.
